Great Kindness Challenge

We have begun our Great Kindness Challenge at school joining the world in this week of kind acts. Our Kindness Club delivered an outstanding message of how to impact one another with our kind acts. Let’s keep it up, Roadrunners!

Fall Fest 2015

The 3rd annual Fall Festival was a busy day for the students at Washington District. Each student was able to visit our make-shift pumpkin patch and pick out their own pumpkin. We were very thankful for all the donations of pumpkins we received!
During the day, students used the pumpkins for a variety of different activities that related to Science, Math, and Writing.

Fire Safety

The local Washington District Fire Department paid a visit to the school during Fire Prevention Week. The firemen participated in a fire drill and then visited each classroom. Students were also treated to a tour of the fire trucks and their importance in an emergency.

Word Wizards

Check out the “Word Wall” in the gym next time you visit the school. Students are hearing a descriptive word each day and encouraged to use the word when writing and speaking. We have several word catchers!
