At Washington District Elementary School, the safety and well-being of students and staff remain top priorities. As part of our school’s comprehensive emergency preparedness plan, students and staff participated in a lockdown drill following the Safety Response Protocol (SRP) procedures.
The purpose of these drills is to ensure that every member of the school community is prepared to respond quickly and calmly in the event of an emergency. By practicing established safety protocols, staff and students are better equipped to make informed choices and take appropriate action if a real-life situation were to occur.
These drills allow us to practice in a calm and controlled environment so that, if we ever face a real emergency, our students and staff know what to do to remain safe. By practicing consistently, the school community builds confidence and reinforces the importance of safety awareness.
Washington District Elementary School appreciates the support of our families and community members who reinforce the message that safety is a shared responsibility, both in school and at home.
